Space Shooter Game — Blast the Alien Waves

Space Shooter is a free arcade shooting game in space. Your ship sits at the bottom of the screen and fires on its own, so all you do is steer. Squadrons of aliens fly in, sway in formation and peel off to dive at you while they shoot back. Clear every wave, collect power-ups and take down the boss ship that arrives every fifth wave. It runs in your browser with no download and no signup.

How to Play

Move: the ship follows your mouse. On a phone, drag anywhere: the ship stays a little above your finger so you can see it. Arrow keys or WASD work too.
Shoot: your guns fire by themselves the whole time.
Waves: shoot down every alien to bring in the next wave. Each wave has more rows and the aliens dive more often.
Lives: you start with 3. A hit costs a life and one level of guns, then you blink for two seconds while you can't be hit.

Power-ups

P — more guns: two streams, then three in a spread.
S — a shield for six seconds that also destroys aliens you fly into.
♥ — an extra life, up to five.

Aliens and Points

Blue aliens — 100 points, one hit.
Pink aliens — 200 points, two hits.
Gold aliens — 500 points, five hits.
Divers — any alien shot while diving at you is worth double.
Boss — a big bonus, plus two power-ups when it goes down.

Tips

Keep moving. Aliens aim at where you are.
Take out divers first. They are worth double and are the biggest danger.
Save your shield for the boss: fly close and pour fire into it.
